Oatmeal Cookies
I don't want to be a blog-hog, but these are the best oatmeal cookies that I know of.
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 ¼ cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 T. cinnamon
3 cups quick-cooking oats
½ cup raisins
Pre-heat oven to 350°. Cream together shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs.
Mix flour, salt, soda and cinnamon in a large bowl, then add to creamed mixture. Add oats, then raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until cookie no longer looks wet.

I was just thinking that oatmeal cookies sounded good. Something about cold January days that puts me in the mood to bake! Thanks for the recipe. I've been slacking about posting anything lately. We're going to try the orange rolls for a baby shower in a couple of weeks.
I made these cookies last night for Poncho. They were sooo good. I did substitute craisins for raisins and rolled the cookies in sugar before baking. Oh, my an oatmeal favorite. Thanks, Patti!-
