Christmas Breakfast

A holiday twist on a classic recipe, this Eggnogg French Toast (sans the liqueur it usually calls for!) is easy and tastes like a festive holiday party in your mouth!!!

Eggnog French Toast
(yields 2 servings, so you'll likely want to double it!)

2 cups of eggnog
2 large eggs
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 thick slices of white bread (challah, egg bread, or brioche work well)
3 tbsp melted butter
Powdered sugar

Whisk the first four ingredients in 9x13 glass baking dish.  Place bread slices in a single layer and turn to coat with the eggnog mixture.  Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours (just pop it in the fridge the night before!).  Bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes.  Turn bread slices over and bake until golden brown and crisp on outside (about 6 minutes longer).  Serve with just butter and powdered sugar, or with fresh berries!

What exactly would an old friend have to do be invited to your house for Christmas breakfast?

Oh, I don't know.... maybe wear pepto-pink sweatpants. And bring a hot man. A single man. A straight single man with a job. That's all.

I might be able to pull off the pepto-pants, but the single, hot, & straight man might prove to be nigh unto impossible. . .but if that french toast is on the line--I'll double my efforts.
