strawberry cheesecake

I won't even pretend that I can make this cheesecake or that I have even tried, but I will promise you that it is heavenly-probably one of the best I have ever had! We had a visit from an old friend this week who was in town on business. He brought us this cheesecake from Carnegie Deli. It was divine; I especially liked the cookie crust. I checked it out online and found the recipe direct from the chef which you can access here. How cool is it that they give you the recipe online! You can also have them ship a cheesecake to you anywhere in the US. Give it a try if you dare (the recipe, that is). Or, come visit us in NYC, and we can head on down to 55th and 7th Avenue and get one to share-after a little shopping in midtown, of course!

That's a really interesting looking recipe. I've never seen one call for the cooking method that this deli uses. Then again, 90% of my cheesecakes crack, so maybe I need to try their way! Looks very delicious, I must say.

Oh, I had cheesecake from the Carnegie Deli in Vegas. Does that seem strange to anyone else? Regardless, it was a little piece of heaven amongst the myriad of smoke infested casinos.
